How to Play Tetris
Fit falling tetrominoes into complete horizontal lines. Cleared lines score points and keep the stack away from the top.
First moves
- Move pieces left or right, rotate with Up, and use Down for a controlled soft drop.
- Use Space for a hard drop only when the landing spot is exactly where you want it.
- Watch the Next preview so you can prepare space before the following piece appears.
Useful habits
- Keep the stack low and mostly flat; tall spikes make later pieces hard to place.
- Leave a one-column well if you want to set up line clears with the long I piece.
- Pause with P if the board is crowded and you need to read the next piece.
About Tetris
Stack falling tetrominoes on a 10×20 board. Complete rows clear and award points; the game ends when the stack reaches the top. Renaissance-toned palette and a ghost piece for landing previews.
